Eva Molina , M.A. is a native of Spain who arrived in California in 1989 at the age of 16.  She started using her language acquisition skills soon after graduation by returning to her former high school as a California Mini-Corps bilingual aide and helping migrant students.  For the following four years, she interpreted lessons, tutored and translated materials for Spanish-speaking students.  Ms. Molina also worked as an intern for the Department of Education at the Bilingual Education Office and the Special Education Division. From there, she joined the Medical Interpreting Services team at the University of California Davis Medical Center for the following 5 years.

At the Medical Center is where Ms. Molina found her passion for interpreting and translation: To serve the Spanish-speaking community by using her bilingual fluency and communication skills to make critical information available and comprehensible to all in need.  While employed with the medical center, Ms. Molina founded the MOLINA SERVICE CENTER in 1997, upon deciding that the best way to make a difference and do what she truly loved was to create a company and provide interpreting/translation services.

Among her interpreting and translation accomplishments are being a narrator for an educational video, the translation into Spanish of a book written by Dr. John Weinberg, media materials published in newspapers, scripts used in radio and TV, etc.

Ms. Molina has also taught community college courses in Spanish, is a K-12 substitute teacher, has become involved in training others about cultural competency when working with non-English-speakers, and helping others become interpreters themselves.  Eva holds a B.A. in Italian with a Japanese minor and an M.A. in Spanish from California State University , Sacramento .
